From Friday to Sunday the women’s and Juniores tricolors are awarded. Meanwhile, the boys of CC 66 have also conquered the decisive phase

CORTINA. Double. This is what the Curling Club Dolomiti is aiming for, in the three-day championship finals that will start tonight in Cortina and will end on Sunday. At stake there are, in chronological order, the tricolor title of the Junior category and then the female Serie A title, where the Olympic champion Stefania Constantini is the protagonist. Waiting for the future stadium dedicated to the discipline, the Olimpico will host the double event with the hope of being able to count on a good audience.
GOAL POKER
If the young men’s team of Club 66 wore the bronze medal last week in Cembra, gold is the ambition of the women’s team. Trained by Alessandro Zisa, the Dolomiti Fontel ranks Constantini as a skip, flanked by national team mates Marta Lo Deserto and Giulia Zardini Lacedelli and by Michela Alverà and Katia Sottsass.

The Cortinesi finished the qualifying round robin in second place, behind the Piedmontese of the Mole 2020. These two teams will face each other in the semifinal page 1 and it will be a high-level challenge. In fact, in the opposing team there are three other blue players Veronica Zappone, Angela Romei and Elena Dami.
The winner of the race will go to the final on Sunday at 1 pm, while the loser will face the winner of the semifinal page 2 in the recovery semifinal (Sunday at 9 am), where Virtus Piemonte third classified and Trentino Cembra fourth are opposed.
So Dolomiti Fontel will have two chances to go to the final: a chance to exploit and then aim for what would be the fourth consecutive Scudetto.
“I think we will play the title against Mole 2020”, explains Marta Lo Deserto, who has recently returned to Cortina from the women’s World Cup in Canada. “In any case, there is no lack of competition, but it would be really nice to reconfirm on home ice”.
HERE ARE THE JUNIORS
The Juniors of Curling Club 66 come from a clear path of 12 victories and zero defeats. They too play the title in Cortina, starting tonight at 7 pm. The formula is the same as the women’s championship.
Page 1 of the semifinal is against Sporting Pinerolo: whoever wins goes to the final tomorrow at 1pm, whoever loses has the semifinal recovery tomorrow at 9am against the winner of Bormio – Trentino Cembra. The team coached by Diana Gaspari is made up of Junior nationals Giacomo Colli (skip) and Francesco De Zanna, together with Edoardo Caproni, Mattia Curtolo and Alberto Cavallero.
“We are the favorites, there is no point in hiding,” admits Colli. «But watch out for Pinerolo, whose only two defeats were against us. The wait is growing more and more and we hope to have a lot of support from ours ».
BOYS IN THE FINAL
Meanwhile, the boys from Club 66 “Lupi” are also in the finals. The team formed by Matteo Molin, Joele Ball, Leonardo Pompanin, Enrico Pagliarini and Mattia Curtolo, as well as led by Massimo Antonelli, Marco Alberti and Giorgia De Lotto, will challenge two formations from Pinerolo and Bormio.
