In Domodossola, three months after the elections, the compositions of the council commissions were completed with the election of the presidents. The municipal council’s institutional machine is now fully operational. The only exception is the Budget and Taxes Commission, for which the voting operations had already been held with this response: president Paola Besana, deputy Angela Tripodi.
The other elections took place just before Christmas, close to the last City Council of 2021. Angela Tripodi was called at the head of the group leaders’ conference. Number two is Domenico Capristo.
Racco leads the Public Works
Simone Racco is the new president of the public works commission, while Daniele Pizzicoli is his deputy.
Chiara Pagani, fresh from election to the Provincial Council as well as Racco, is instead the president of the commission that will deal with cultural and social policies. Number two was voted Miria Sanzone.
Maurizio Oioli was appointed head of the fifth commission, the one that brings together Sport and Tourism; the deputy will be Federico Delbarba. The last permanent commission is the sixth, which deals with Commerce, Environment and Productive Activities. Here Alberto Virgili was chosen as president, Silvia Lipari is his deputy.
“The election of the last few days completes the process of setting up the permanent commissions to be at the full service of the city” is the comment of Marco Bossi, president of the municipal council. After the end-of-year meeting, the municipal assembly should meet again by the end of January. “The hope is to be able to continue to do the municipal councils in the presence” adds Bossi.
Agreement with the Prairie
In the meantime, one of the last acts of last year by the city council was the extension of the loan agreement with the “La Prateria” social cooperative.
A one-year deferral was granted to the Ossola agricultural center. The structure located in the Nosere region has always been a point of reference in the social field, and not only for the city of Domodossola. The municipal administration led by the mayor Lucio Pizzi has approved the extension until 31 December 2022 in view of the completion of the allotment of the assets of the former Valle Ossola mountain community, which is being examined by the commissioner who took over with the termination of the mountain bodies.
