A great story with unexpected twists. Rafiu Durosinmi, who was then the team’s best scorer of the season, suffered a serious knee injury in October. Nevertheless, it seemed that he would leave Victoria in the winter.
According to behind-the-scenes information, in December, the West Bohemians already agreed with Frankfurt on the transfer of the young Nigerian attacker for more than a quarter of a billion crowns.
However, the shapely attacker failed a medical examination and was unable to leave for Germany.

He therefore remains in Pilsen at the start of the winter training. “He has an individual plan, he should fly with us to a training camp in Benidorm, Spain,” advises coach Miroslav Koubek.
The experienced coach kept a close eye on what was happening around Durosinmi. The question now is how disappointed Rafiu will be that the transfer didn’t work out.
“I don’t know how he feels. He probably won’t be thrilled. How did I perceive it? Basically, it’s one foot away. I won’t cover it up, over time I came to terms with the fact that we were going to lose him. He’s here,” the coach says flatly.

If Durosinmi returns to the form from the beginning of autumn, Koubek will de facto receive a huge reinforcement, which he already wanted in his mind.
Now it’s about when the forward could jump in if his recovery goes well.
“I can’t say, it would be guessing from a crystal ball. We’ll see how it develops. I can’t say whether he will return that month or another month,” says Koubek.
Viktoria is now counting on Durosinmi again. Another young attacker, Pavel Hašek, was thus given permission to train with Příbramí.
