Prize money cut, but still record Uefa put 331 million on the plate of the 24 national teams participating in Euro 2020, a figure reduced by 40 million after the outbreak of the pandemic but higher than in the 2016 edition, where the prize pool was 301 million.
The maximum prize is 28.5 million. To achieve it, it is necessary to have won all the matches of the group stage, coming up to success. A path that can be followed by Italy, which closed its group with full points: the three victories against Turkey, Switzerland and Wales earned the FIGC 3 million, to be added to the 9.5 million expected for participation.

They must also be added: 1.5 million for the round of 16 won against Austria; 2.5 million for qualifying for the quarterfinals, where the Azzurri beat Belgium; and 4 million for the semifinal in which they overtook Spain.
In total, they already make 20.5 million in cash, plus the 5 million guaranteed to both finalists.
If Italy were to raise the cup, the prize would rise to 28.5 million. England, who drew one match in the group, can reach 28 million.
