In the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League, FC Bayern Munich played 2-2 against Arsenal London. Serge Gnabry and Harry Kane scored the goals for Munich. The second leg will take place in Munich next week. Sports director Max Eberl was satisfied with Bayern’s performance.

Sports director Max Eberl has once again confirmed his trust in coach Thomas Tuchel at FC Bayern. “We saw again today that the team and the coach fit together when they work,” said Eberl after the German record champions’ 2-2 draw in the quarter-final first leg at Arsenal. At the end of the season, the club and coach part ways. Tuchel wants to reach the semi-finals of the premier class with the team next Wednesday.
“You have made a decision for summer and then you should just leave things as they are and not ask every two days: Is he still? Is not he? Can he still? For how much longer? When is he no longer?” said Eberl. Despite all understanding of the questions, it must also be said: “Hey, hateful for the coach’s performance with the team.”
FC Bayern’s coaching candidates
The 50-year-old doesn’t want to get carried away when looking for a new coach for the record champions. “If there is something, we will announce it,” said Eberl. There are responsibilities for the search for a trainer and within this framework a new trainer will be found. He didn’t comment on any names on Wednesday night either. “I’ve never said anything before and I won’t say anything now. “I’m sorry,” said Eberl.
