While the ribbon cutting was celebrated in Torretta, at the Barbera stadium, in front of the packed covered grandstand, the Rosanero legends paraded on the grass and will play a friendly match in the new sports center in the afternoon.

Palermo CFA consists of two natural grass pitches of the same size as the Barbera pitch, a smaller natural grass pitch for goalkeeper training, a main body with offices, changing rooms, gym and press room and a club house.

The sports center is located on an area purchased by the club which was an olive grove, the club has preserved the plants by relocating over 400 trees and planting new plants typical of the Mediterranean scrub for a total of 30 thousand square meters of green areas. A few meters from the clubhouse kitchen, a social garden has been created which will host social educational activities in collaboration with local charities, in line with the community projects promoted and supported by the ownership of the City Football Group around the world.
