Week dedicated to the Final Eight of the Italian Cup in Serie A. From today to Sunday in Pesaro we play to lift the second trophy of the season after the Super Cup won by Virtus Bologna. The opening match pits the holders of Olimpia Milano against Dinamo Sassari in Ousmane Diop today at 6.00 pm Trento-Brescia at 8.45 pm. Tomorrow the other two quarters: at 18 the Allianz Trieste (who yesterday hired US guard Ty-shon Alexander, out of Virtus Bologna) faces the freshman Tortona, at 20.45 Virtus Bologna-Brindisi.
In Serie A2 and Serie B, the Italian Cup will be staged from 11 to 13 March, the National Basketball League has practically defined the host venue. Once the candidacies of Desio and Verona have faded, they will be played in Roseto degli Abruzzi, with Chieti probable second field. The APU will face the Umana Chiusi in the quarters. –
