Ueb Gesteco Cividale is preparing its second consecutive Serie B championship in Lignano
CIVIDAL. Gesteco Cividale is ready to take flight. In fact, the Lignano Basket kicks off on 3 September, quadrangular in memory of Mario Bortoluzzi who will test the eagles led by coach Stefano Pillastrini in the sports hall in viale Europa who on 12 September will then be engaged in the first official match (at home) against the newly promoted Jesolo in the Super Cup.
An important test that will allow the ducal team technician to understand at what stage the preparation of the team that resumed training on 23 August is. «We start from a solid base of seven confirmed – comments coach“ Pilla ”- to which we must add the characteristics of the three new Laudoni, Paesano and Rocchi. We will face valuable opponents, therefore we will see high level basketball in line with what Lignano Basket has always staged ».
Commenting on the first official release of the ducals is also the president of the Ueb Davide Micalich who tells how: «This year the event takes on special connotations as we will remember our great friend Mario Bortoluzzi. We invited San Vendemiano, Rimini and Rieti, all valuable teams like us. We do not expect great things as the preparation of the team is still underway, but we are curious to see how the new entries fit in ».
The program of the tournament which will take place behind closed doors is as follows: on Friday 3 September, at 7 pm, Rimini will compete against San Vendemiano and at 9.15 pm Ueb Gesteco Cividale against Rieti. On Saturday 4th September, based on the results obtained, the third place will be played at 5 pm, while the final will be at 7.15 pm. All matches will be behind closed doors: however, it will be possible to follow tonight’s match live from 9 pm on Telefriuli (channel 11 dt) and in streaming on Telefriuli.it.
