Jesi, 17 May 2022 – After the second day of rest, the Giro d’Italia has restarted from breaking latest news to arrive in Jesi with the historic victory of Biniam Girmay on Mathieu Van der Poel. He is the first Eritrean to triumph in the Giro. Tomorrow another round another gift, with a substantially easy stage, of ‘rest’, and with an almost written finish in the sprint. Santarcangelo di Romagna-Reggio Emilia does not even have a GPM.
Path
The 203-kilometer fraction will wind its way from Romagna to Emilia, also passing through Bologna. After Santarcangelo you pass through Cesena, Forlimpopoli and Faenza before approaching Bologna from Imola, a town that precedes the flying finish line of Toscanella di Dozza at kilometer 76. You enter Bologna passing through Ozzano dell’Emilia and San Lazzaro, then viale Aldini and via Sabotino to pass on Viale Togliatti and take the direction of San Giovanni in Persiceto, the flying finish line at kilometer 126. You arrive in the so-called ‘low’ between Bologna and Modena passing through Crevalcore, Camposanto, Cavezzo and Carpi before arriving in Reggio Emilia.
