Junior Meeting of Silca, the best youth of Treviso athletics are back

CONEGLIANO. The Junior Meeting in Conegliano will be more engaging and fun because even primary school children return to perform. Three days before the event, organized by the youngest Athletics Silca who have been working for weeks to better prepare the event on April 25th at the Soldan stadium, there is further good news: after three years the rookies are back to perform too , ie primary school children. In the 2020 and 2021 editions this part of the Junior Meeting was suspended due to the pandemic and now the joy and smiles of the little ones will be able to return to animate Soldan before the actual competitions. At the beginning of the show, in fact, the Giocatletica event will be staged with 43 children from the Centro di Avvio allo Sport, a project carried out by Atletica Silca.

Not only the little ones, but also children and adolescents will be the protagonists of the 25th April in Conegliano. There are over 50 young people who put themselves to the test to organize the Junior Meeting, under the watchful eye of the Silca Athletics Council chaired by Francesco Piccin who in no way intervened in the event, leaving a free hand to the youth sector. With the directives of Eva Casagrande, head of the organizing committee, and Jacopo Da Re, her deputy, the boys divided the tasks to take care of all aspects of a sporting event, from logistics to communication, in order to create an event made by young people for young people. In three days, all preparations will be put to the test starting in the morning, in which the children and young people of Altetica Silca will meet to arrange the tools, hang the banners and prepare everything necessary for the success of the event. At noon the pasta party is scheduled with the intention of getting the group together and regaining that sociability that has waned in the last two and a half years due to the covid.

Sociality that will also animate the stands of Soldan because, always after a two-year stop, the public will be able to attend the competitions of the Junior Meeting. The event is at national level for students, juniors, promises and seniors, regional for boys and cadets and is valid as a regional UsAcli championship for the male and female youth categories. The start is scheduled for 2.30 pm with the meeting of the juries and the performance of the Giocoatletica children for the beginners category. From 3 pm, on the other hand, the competitions begin with the long jump of the students and the 80 meters for the cadets, followed by 80 meters flat with the cadets, the vortex with the girls, the weight with students and cadets, 60 meters flat for the boys. and girls and the 1000 meters, distance in which cadets and cadets will also compete. Always following the program of the event, javelin competition for students and juniors, vortex for boys, 1500 meters for students, high jump for cadets and, to close the Junior Meeting, the two 3000 meters competitions for juniors, promises and male seniors.
