Polisportivo, green light for the mobile stands. The Dolomiti Bellunesi returns home on October 17th

The Municipality launches the plan: 46 thousand euros are needed for rental and installation. The money for 2021 is already available

BELLUNO. The Dolomiti Bellunesi will return to play at the Polisportivo in mid-October. This is the goal of the Municipality, which on Monday gave the go-ahead for the rental and installation of two mobile stands, which will double the capacity of the facility. It will take a couple of weeks to close the accounting, at the beginning of October the works for the installation of the structures will begin. The most probable hypothesis is that the Belluno Dolomites will return to the Polisportivo for the fifth of the championship, on Sunday 17 October against Este.

Therefore, the alarm that began to sound at the end of August, when a problem of usability of the stands of the city stadium emerged. Following some static tests, it was found that the stands can bear a maximum load of one person every two square meters. That is 150 each. Too few for a team that dreams big.

THE SOLUTION

The days following that discovery were hectic but, according to the protagonists, constructive. A solution was sought, which was found in the rental of mobile stands. The Municipality has had some estimates made and the best one says that 46 thousand euros are needed for the entire series D season. Twenty thousand for the period from October to December, a figure which also includes the assembly of the structures; 26 thousand for the period from January to June 2022. On Monday the commissioner Marco Bogo brought an information note and all colleagues expressed a favorable opinion. Go ahead, therefore, to the plan.

THE MONEY IS THERE

“The funds for 2021 are already there, despite what we are experiencing is by no means an easy year”, assures the deputy mayor, and councilor for the budget, Lucia Olivotto. “We will recover the funds for 2022”. The Municipality has a budget that closes on December 31st, and resources cannot be committed to the following year. So spending for 2022 will be included in next year’s forecast document.

“In a couple of weeks the process will be completed in the offices, from the beginning of October it will be possible to proceed with the work”.

GOAL 17 OCTOBER

The managing director of Sportamente Belluno, Fabio Gasperin, sees the week following the 24 Hours of San Martino, which is scheduled at the stadium on 9 and 10 October, as a useful window for editing. It means that for the fifth day of the championship the Dolomiti Bellunesi will be able to challenge the Este at the Polisportivo.

“A 400-seat structure will be erected between the main grandstand and the kiosk,” he explains. “The other, with 200 seats, will be installed between the guest grandstand and the Goal Arena.” The mobile stands will be uncovered and can be used at half capacity, according to Covid rules. With these structures, therefore, 600 spectators will be able to access the Polisportivo.

COMMENTS

Councilor Marco Bogo is satisfied: “We immediately committed ourselves to finding a solution,” he recalls. “With the favorable opinions expressed in the council on Monday, we can proceed.” On the same line Fabio Gasperin: «The Belluno Dolomites has always been very collaborative, if a solution was found quickly it was also because the controversy was not sought but worked in harmony», he recalls. A thought reaffirmed by the company itself, which declares itself “happy with the positive conclusion of the negotiation which gave a good result thanks to the commitment of all the parties involved”.
