Pordenone has a great goal: to bring the Diaw bomber back to black and green

by admin

The attacker will leave Monza, Lovisa is confident in a loan: it would be the best for Paci to have a striker like this in the squad

PORDENONE. It is not a dream. It has more of the connotations of the goal, which can be worked on. It’s not easy to hit it, but it’s okay to try. Pordenone thinks about the return of Davide Diaw. The striker from Cividale, born in 1992, should leave Monza, and this is why the idea was born to the management of the neroverdi. He had moved from De Marchi to Brianza last winter, when his sale had yielded 4 million euros in the coffers of Mauro Lovisa’s club.

Who goes and who comes

There is an air of change in the red and white house. The first concerned the coach, as Cristian Brocchi was replaced by Giovanni Stroppa. The second will affect the squad, especially in the advanced department. Diaw is out, also because in the six months spent in Monza he has not convinced. He has a contract valid until June 2024 and, at present, there are two possibilities: that a club will buy him from the Brianza area or that he will be loaned. The green lizards aim for the latter possibility, with the red and white that could contribute to a part of the salary. It is a viable path on paper, also because it is not easy to find a partnership that invests 2-3 million euros to take over the tip.

The return
Diaw’s return to Pordenone would be more than welcome. In the first round of last season the striker scored ten goals and the team shot in the play-off zone. If the group plays for him, perhaps taking advantage of the restarts, it is devastating, perhaps the best in this sense in Serie B. For the new coach, Massimo Paci, starting with a center forward like that would be the best: at his debut in the category he needs certainties. Last but not least, the player’s return to Friuli and Pordenone – at least on paper – cannot help but regret. The degrees of ownership would not even be discussed: the number 9 jersey of the lizards would be his. Then he is aware that here he can be the protagonist and make an impact. In short, it would be a painting that would make everyone happy. Of course, patience is needed, because this type of operation does not take place overnight. And we must also count any “opponents” in the race for Diaw, a point that many like.

The offensive sector is the one on which the fortunes of a club often depend: Pordenone was able to try it on its skin in the previous championship. In this respect, the management knows that it cannot be wrong.

At the moment, among the owned players in the advanced department there are Ciurria, Tremolada, Magnaghi and Butic. Only the latter is certain to stay. The rest is a question mark. The tournament that begins in September promises to be harder than the one ended a month ago and also for this reason there is a need for certainties. Diaw would be precisely a granite certainty. To date, the operation is complicated, but who knows: the market is long and many unexpected things can then occur.
