Rome, 27 August – The coach of Italy Roberto Mancini has dissolved reservations and issued a list of ben 34 called up for the gathering on Sunday 29 August that will kick off the preparation for the challenges of the September window of qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The Azzurri, still with full points in Group C and strong from a positive streak of 34 consecutive useful results, will return to the field almost two months after triumph at Euro 2020 to face the Bulgaria (on 2 September at 8.45 pm), the Swiss (on 5 September at 8.45 pm) in a very important match for the final standings of the group, and the Lithuania (8 September at 8.45 pm). Among the squads there are twenty-four of the twenty-five Italians returning from the European triumph (obviously absent Spinazzola, who had an Achilles tendon surgery after the injury remedied at the European Championships), but there will also be several surprises such as Gianluca Scamacca, on his debut in the major national team, and Nicolò Zaniolo, returning to the blue after a year off due to injury.
