SALERNO – The Salernitana question “is not a battleground but only for the application of the rules that have been known since July 2013”. This was stated by the president of the FIGC, Gabriele Gravina, at the end of today’s Federal Council in which a 14-day extension of the term by which Claudio Lotito will have to sell Salernitana to another company was granted, under penalty of non-admission of the Campania club in Serie A.
In which case, Gravina specifies that «there is no need for penalties because you can’t really register for the championship. The FIGC, Coni and international standards require it. Lawsuits? I don’t understand what procedures could be done to reverse these rules. Out of respect for the city and its history, we are not the counterpart of Salernitana, we are only respectful of the rules. We want Salernitana in Serie A ».
