Long gaps imposed by the winners in the Travagola race. Satisfied organizers: “It was not easy to propose the event”
Mirko Signorotto and Jacklin De Marchi are the king and queen of the “Race among the murals” 2021: the two athletes, with a respective race time of 31.55 and 40.05 have in fact dominated their respective categories.
Signorotto, in particular, inflicted a gap of three minutes on the runner-up, while De Marchi stopped “only” shortly before, two and a half minutes.
The running event, competitive and not, has reached its tenth edition and took place yesterday morning in Pedavena, starting from the hamlet of Travagola, and then continuing along a challenging nine-kilometer route that crossed via Spiesa and the towns of Aurin, Col, Facen and Teven.
A track reserved for competitive athletes, who battled each other from the very first kilometers of the race, without therefore disappointing expectations: Federico Bragagnolo therefore came in second place in the men’s ranking, with a time of 34 minutes and 55 seconds.
To complete the trio behind the winner was finally Simone Baldissera, who finished his race stopping at 35. 46.
In the women’s correspondence it was no different: behind De Marchi, Giada Dal Cortivo and Emanuela Zaetta played for the podium, immediately stretching over the rest of the opponents, effectively concluding the race with silver and bronze medals. A statistic that emerges from the race is the gap between the first and the last classified: if there were ten minutes of difference in the men, there were almost twice as many in the women, that is nineteen.
The Race among the murals has once again rivaled a level competition, in which about a hundred people took part in the competition: due to the anti Covid regulations, the number of members was limited to a maximum of one hundred and fifty athletes. In addition to the nine-kilometer circuit of the competitive, the organizers of the Travagola group, in collaboration with the Pro Loco and the Municipality of Pedavena, have also made available two other less demanding routes, from 4 and 9 kilometers, destined for families or anyone he had wanted to try his hand at a ludic motor walk.
At the end of the event, the first five competitors were awarded, both for men and women. Together with the satisfaction for the result achieved, the organizers thank all the participants and say goodbye to the next edition. “Thanks to all the volunteers who made this race day possible” says Marco Castellaz, one of the organizers of the event, “and especially to the Pro Loco and the municipal administration, because I can guarantee that it was not easy or obvious to propose the event this year, with all the regulations and rules that must be followed. The commitment that everyone has put into the field has been repaid with confidence. We also thank the Fire Brigade who offered us support along the way, as well as all those who participatedto, because the Race among the murals had a charitable purpose: the funds raised will in fact be allocated to the Pedavena school complex ».
