The matches of the Billy Jean King Cup that will take place over the weekend on Maria Pia’s green-set have been drawn

ALGHERO. The blue number two Jasmine Paolini (n.48 WTA) and the French number one Alize Cornet (n.34 WTA) will open tomorrow 15 April at 2 pm the match between Italy and France in women’s tennis valid for the preliminaries of Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas, scheduled on the green-set of the Alghero Tennis Club. Up for grabs a place at the November Finals (in a single venue yet to be defined).

Afterwards, the blue number one Camila Giorgi (# 30 WTA) will take the field against the French number 2 Ocean Dodin (# 96 WTA). This is the outcome of the draw carried out this morning in Alghero. On Saturday 16th April, starting at 12, the challenge between the number one of their respective teams, Giorgi and Cornet; to follow that between the number two Paolini and Dodin.

In closing, the double between the blue couple Lucia Bronzetti / Martina Trevisan and the French one Alize Cornet / Kristina Mladenovic. Italy boasts four Fed Cups (2006, 2009, 2010 and 2013) in its palmares and has played another final (2007) as well as five semifinals (1999, 2002, 2011, 2012 and 2014).
