It was a busy and satisfying month of June for Asd Tessiore Cycles (team of Baio Dora) who, in addition to participating in the usual competitions of the local youth cycling calendar, also took part in the National Youth Meeting which took place. held in Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, in the province of Treviso, from 23 to 26 June. Also on this occasion, the athletes directed and trained by Maurizio Cilenti, did honor, in particular with Melanie Bosonin, who won the victory (yet another season, for her) in the G6 category.

The meeting is not just a sporting event, but a great celebration of youth cycling, which is back after two years of rest due to the pandemic. The response was extraordinary: 1,550 athletes representing 166 teams. Strengthened by the fact that the Prosecco Hills of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano are Unesco heritage, the organization suggested this theme for the traditional inaugural parade which took place in Conegliano on Thursday evening. A wonderful opportunity for the Canavese representative who proudly flaunted the banner (created thanks to the collaboration with the Municipality of Ivrea) of “Ivrea industrial city of the twentieth century”, also bringing an original Olivetti typewriter to the show and fashioning a look that recalled both the Ivrea industrial past and the Carnival. After the choreographic aspect, very useful for cementing the friendship between the young protagonists, the Three Days of Sport kicked off on Friday, during which the Tessiorini showed good driving skills and obtained with Jacopo Gianotto (category G6) a good fifth place overall in speed. But once again Melanie Bosonin (G6) did the coup, who in the final road race literally dominated the test. “I can only congratulate Melanie and all her teammates – comments Maurizio Cilenti satisfied – but I must also thank the large group of tireless parents who supported me in every moment of the event, demonstrating the excellent harmony that has been established in the group”.

Cilenti, in his long career as sports director, has always worked “looking ahead”: “Immediate results are important and gratifying – this is his philosophy – but what matters above all is to educate young people both from a human point of view and, when you can see the talent, as far as the sporting sphere is concerned. And the satisfactions are not lacking: Samuel Brustia, who until last year raced with our colors, from this season moved to the Beginners category, to the Young Bikers Team Balmamion team with excellent results, graduating as regional category champion a few weeks ago ». Brustia, together with two other athletes bred by Cilenti, Michelle Santinato and Kristian Blanc, was the protagonist of the Boario national championships last Sunday. Good placement of Brustia, 11th, while the other two athletes were involved in falls. Also in the regional field, Melanie Bosonin goes like a train: in June she won the victory in Bruino, in the race organized by Piossasco Carpinello, and in the Occhieppo Inferiore Municipality Trophy, in the Biellese area; Stefano Verga (G1) and Giulio Gianotto (G2) also on the podium in these races. –
