The 12th Chinese Billiards Masters Finals Open in Qinhuangdao

The 12th Chinese Billiards Masters Finals kicked off in Qinhuangdao, China on the evening of March 22nd, with an impressive turnout of 480 billiards masters from 73 countries and regions around the world. This year’s competition marks the largest number of participants in the history of the Chinese Billiards Masters, with athletes competing for a prize pool of 5 million.

The 19-day finals competition began on March 16th and is divided into four stages. The first three stages are conducted with separate domestic and international groups, while the fourth stage sees a mixed draw of both domestic and international players. The first stage concluded on the 21st, paving the way for the second stage to commence after the opening ceremony.

The Chinese Billiards Masters has gained significant popularity worldwide, reaching 68 countries and regions and boasting over 80 million fans. The event has been recognized as an official competition at the 2025 Chengdu World Games. During the opening ceremony, Mr. Joachim Gausseau, CEO of the International World Games Association, expressed his congratulations via a video message and extended an invitation to attend the 2025 Chengdu World Games next year.

The prestigious event also drew the attention of key figures in the billiards world, including Ian Keller Anderson, Vice Chairman of the World Billiards Federation WCBS, Sean Singh, Chairman of the World Pool Billiards Association WPA, Mubarak, Chairman of the International Billiards Snooker Federation IBSF, and Hedley Hammu, Secretary-General of the Olympic Organizing Committee in Mauritius. Representatives from 68 countries and regions around the globe came together to observe the competition and celebrate the sport of billiards.
