The patron Ezio Panigati welcomes his boys with unchanged enthusiasm: «This season we are celebrating 30 years of the Academy and everyone is willing to do something beautiful. Our DNA does not change, we will try first of all to enhance young people, supported by a skeleton of experienced players that we know well and who will be the driving force for the whole group. After 30 years of presidency, I am happy that Gianluca Gaudio and Davide Pedone are there to give me a hand in society, I will always be present, but I will devote attention to the care of the structures and to the logistical aspects “. The president then gives an anticipation on a possible, very welcome return: “Our striker Lorenzo Catania is training with Carpi, but serious corporate problems have emerged, with the exclusion of the Emilians from Serie C. At this point, I do not exclude that can come back with us, we will see the developments ».
Goal high floors
The Academy’s ambition is clearly visible in the words of the new sporting director Davide Pedone, who after his experience in Voghera is ready to live the new adventure with enthusiasm: “The first thanks goes to President Panigati, who allowed us to carry out this project. I am very happy with the squad we have set up, both in terms of young players and more experienced players. We will probably do something more in midfield. As a goal, we want to reach the top four, in a championship that promises to be difficult and with many very competitive teams, but we want to have our say ». Pedone has chosen with conviction Mr. Molluso for the bench, with whom he had already shared the experience in Voghera: “With the coach there is a relationship of great trust and mutual respect, I consider him a very good coach on the pitch and in putting together many different heads. He has a very thorough knowledge of players and has helped me a lot in setting up the team ».
The latest signing, Cesare Giani, an attacking midfielder born in 2003, arrived from Giana Erminio, joined the Accademia group. Molluso is satisfied with the work carried out by the company in the transfer market: «We have built a complete team in every department, with many quality players and the right balance between young and experienced players. In this month of work before the official matches, we will have to be good at forming a strong group, in football you win with the group. As a goal, we do not set limits, we think about giving our best ». His idea of the Academy is clear: «I want to give an offensive imprint to the team, we will focus on phrasing, trying to play the ball from the defense. Then obviously there will be matches in which we will have to suffer and we will have to be ready to do so ». Alongside Molluso, the staff includes Gaetano Teresi as deputy; Federico Locatelli is the athletic trainer, Mauro Bergantin will follow the goalkeepers; Gabriele Cocca is the technical collaborator, Nicolò Gagliano the physiotherapist, and Nicola Cormio plays the role of match analyst.
The Academy will train in Sant’Alessio with a daily session in the morning, then from 23 August it will move to the Roncaro field. Family match set for August 13 at 3.30pm. The first friendly match is scheduled for August 21 with the Agazzanese (Piacenza Excellence), then on August 25 the test with NibbionOggiono (Serie D). –
