“The Custody” arrives on TV, music and poetry to tell the drama of emigration

by admin

Rome, 29 December 2021 – Appointment on RaiTre, Friday December 31st at 3.10pm, with “The custody” (then his Rai Gulp the January 1st at 16:05 and 20:40, then available on RaiPlay), one of those cases in which the great international animation speaks Italian. The cartoon made by Maurizio Forestieri (one of the masters of the sector) moves, excites, makes us reflect by telling in the form of a fairy tale (but without sweetening anything) the tragedy of the populations forced to migrate due to the war (in this case), but the same thing can be true for those who run away from hunger and poverty.

In fact, thea story told by Foreigners, accompanied by the original music by Roberto Frattini, is a fairytale for all ages with a bitter taste, full of poetry and magic. A symbolic tale of current events and the past history of many peoples who embark on a journey in search of more hospitable places. A story of parents who want to guarantee their children a better future. That future that is the right of every child and the duty of every civilization.

In the “Custody”, the very young Fadi escapes from a country at war taking with him a violin case from which it never separates. In the company of a group of other travelers, Fadi crosses deserts and seas in a path full of obstacles. Along the way he meets the mysterious Naila and a group of other boys. At the end of the journey, arriving after a shipwreck in the much-desired land of Spes, travelers find themselves in front of an impassable wall, reminiscent of the walls (not only physical) that migrants of all ages have to face. But even the walls are not invincible and, even if they have a bitter taste, the land of Hope (hope in Latin) opens a new horizon to the future of newcomers.
