The finances are not yet sufficient for the Champions League

The numbers can make your head spin. In the fall, the Internet platform Benchmark attributed Frankfurt Eintracht’s value to a whopping 700 million euros. Last week, the auditing firm Deloitte placed the traditional Hessian club in 16th place in its highly regarded Football Money League of the 20 football clubs with the highest sales worldwide.

Only Bayern Munich (7th place/744 million euros) and Borussia Dortmund (12/420 million euros) generated higher income among the Bundesliga clubs in the 2022/23 season. Internationally it is on a par with Newcastle, West Ham and Naples. Accordingly, Eintracht has already achieved its sporting goal of being a natural German Champions League participant on a financial level. After that, the Frankfurt team became an economic power, able to upgrade the squad to meet the highest sporting standards.
