Sebastien Ogier and Julienne Ingrassia dominate the Italian stage of the world championship
OLBIA. Sebastien Ogier and Julienne Ingrassia, in Toyota Yaris WRC, are the winners of the Rally Italia Sardegna, the Italian stage of the world rally championship. The seven-time world champion French crew scored their fourth victory in Sardinia, the first on the Yaris WRC, at the Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT. Ogier, who stretched to the top of the world rankings, was ready to leap to the lead in the second stage, on the ps 12, when Ott Tanak in the Hyundai i20 WRC was forced to surrender by a stone that damaged the suspension on the car of the Estonian, winner of 6 tests. Another official Toyota Yaris WRC in second place with the British Elfyn Evans, who, sailed by Scott Martin, also won 5 special stages and definitively stretched his hands on second place in the second stage, earning precious points for the world championship standings in which is second.
