“We want to be the protagonists and not the extras”. With these words, the president Massimo Gariglio kicked off the new season, still in Promotion, of the ambitious Volpiano: “Also in the face of the investments made both in the structures – with the restructuring of the Goia (the main pitch) and the adjacent Bertolotti and the creation of two other playing fields, which we can no longer hide in the strengthening campaign carried out by sports director Loris Mazzi. Focusing on the new arrivals we have a welcome return the midfielder Marco Nicolini from Pinerolo; in addition we have registered, again in the middle area of the field, Giacomo Chiazzolino from the Turin of Cbs and Taoufik El Kettani from Savigliano as well as the defenders Francesco Pia from Fulgor Valdengo and Alberto Signoriello from the Cuneo of Moretta, to the attacker Daniele Monteleone from Turin and the goalkeeper Daniel Loggia from Ivrea Calcio ».
The coach Lorenzo Parisi is also very excited: «We will start training on Monday 16 August at Goia and for the whole week we will have double sessions, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, then from the following week only one in the evening. We want to be ready for the first match of the season, on Sunday 5th January with the Coppa Italia and a week after the championship. As for the technical staff – continues Parisi – it will be made up of the second coach Fabio Lombardo, the athletic trainer will be Fabio Molli, the goalkeeper trainer Flavio Bassani, the masseur Loris Maretti and the manager in charge Enzo De Benedittiis ».
