Riot Games announces the release of “2XKO,” a new fighting game set to be launched on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S by 2025. The game will feature a unique combat system that focuses on fundamental fighting mechanics.
Derived from the open beta of “Project L,” “2XKO” will incorporate the world of “League of Legends” as its backdrop. In addition to 1vs.1 battles, the game will also introduce a 2vs.2 mode, allowing players to engage in team-based combat. The roster of characters will include familiar faces such as Yasuo, Ekko, Ahri, and more, with a fresh approach to showcasing their unique abilities for players to experience.
The gameplay mechanics of “2XKO” will allow for both offensive and defensive strategies, including the ability to perform combo attacks and utilize specialized moves to outmaneuver opponents. Players will also have the option to engage in solo or team battles, with customizable strategies and tactics to suit their playstyle.
Officially scheduled for release by 2024, Riot Games will provide attendees at the upcoming “EVO Japan” event in Japan from April 27-29 with a first look at the game. Additionally, player trials will be held by the end of this year, giving fans the opportunity to test the game before its official launch.
