Canadian Game “Dead by Daylight” to Feature “Alan Wake” in Upcoming Collaboration

Canadian gaming company Behavior Interactive has announced that their asymmetric horror game “Dead by Daylight” will be collaborating with the survival horror masterpiece “Alan Wake”. The new content is set to be officially launched on January 30th and is now available for a limited time in Public Testing (PTB).

“Dead by Daylight” pits four players as survivors against one brutal killer, with the goal of escaping from the killer’s grasp and avoiding being caught, tortured, and killed.

Since its launch in 2016, “Dead by Daylight” has consistently expanded its horror universe, featuring characters from “Chainsaw Massacre”, “Freddy in the Night”, “Alien”, “Scream”, Ghostface, and most recently the ghost doll Qiaji.

The latest addition to the game is Alan Wake, the protagonist of the 2010 game by Remedy Entertainment. A 90-second trailer featuring Wake repairing a generator in another world has been released, with Finnish actor Ilkka Villi providing the original voice for the character.

The collaboration will bring in the flashlight mechanic from “Alan Wake”, with Wake’s skills specifically aimed at the killer’s photophobia. This includes using the flashlight to blind the killer and slow down their movement, as well as other skills such as creating a gift totem to aid in escape.

“Dead by Daylight” is currently available on various gaming platforms including Xbox, PlayStation, PC, Switch, and smartphones, with the “Alan Wake” collaboration set to release on January 30th. It is uncertain whether other characters from “Alan Wake” will be included in the collaboration, with more details to be revealed as the launch date approaches.
