The recent leak of PS5 Pro hardware specifications has sent waves of excitement through the gaming community, especially with regards to the highly anticipated release of Rockstar’s “GTA6”. With many players eagerly awaiting the next installment in the open-world game series, the news that the PS5 Pro may offer the best gaming experience has only added to the hype.
According to Si Hai Lin, a senior art designer at Rockstar Games, “GTA6” is expected to run at 60 frames per second on the PS5, leading many players to believe that the PS5 Pro will be the ultimate platform for experiencing the game. However, Digital Foundry has cast doubts on these claims, stating that achieving 60FPS on the PS5 Pro may be a near-impossible feat.
The leaked information suggests that while the PS5 Pro will boast a 50% increase in performance compared to the standard PS5, it still features the same Zen 2 architecture CPU that was introduced three years ago. This limitation could potentially hinder the game’s performance, especially with the addition of more complex simulations, physical effects, and higher NPC density in “GTA6”.
Digital Foundry’s senior analyst, Richard Leadbetter, has expressed skepticism about the possibility of achieving 60FPS on the PS5 Pro or even on the PC version of the game. However, he did mention that a 10% increase in CPU frequency could help improve the game’s frame rate stability, potentially allowing for a smoother experience at 30FPS.
Despite these concerns, Leadbetter still believes that the PS5 Pro will offer the best console platform for playing “GTA6”. Rumors suggest that the console will feature RDNA 4 architecture ray tracing technology, promising superior graphics and ray tracing effects compared to the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
As players eagerly await more news and updates on “GTA6” and the capabilities of the PS5 Pro, it’s clear that the gaming community is brimming with excitement and anticipation for what promises to be a groundbreaking gaming experience.
