Luxury Version of Apple Vision Pro Plated with 18K Gold Priced at $40,000
The starting price of the MR device Apple Vision Pro is about NT$110,000, which already makes it quite a pricey piece of technology. However, for those who seek the ultimate luxury, a company called Caviar has created a high-end version of the Apple Vision Pro plated with 18K gold, priced at an astonishing US$40,000, equivalent to approximately NT$1.27 million.
Caviar is known for creating luxury versions of technology products, often embellishing high-end smartphones with leather, gemstones, and precious metals. The price for these customized devices can easily exceed US$8,000, much higher than the original models.
In the case of the luxury Apple Vision Pro, all the knobs and frames of the device are plated with 18K gold. The product also comes with a protective cover inspired by Ford’s flip glasses and Gucci ski masks, also plated with 18K gold.
According to the official website, the outer display of the Vision Pro can be programmed to show the user’s eye expressions, hence the need for the protective cover to ensure privacy. The headband of the device is made of genuine Connolly fine leather, stamped with the letters “VR” for virtual reality.
This exquisite piece of technology comes at a hefty price of US$40,000, a significant increase from the original starting price.
