Warner Bros. and Xbox partner to bring Dune-themed expansion to Microsoft Flight Simulator

Gamereactor.cn – Microsoft Flight Simulator fans are in for a treat as a new Dune-themed expansion takes them on a journey to the planet Arrakis. In partnership with Warner Bros. and Xbox, players can now take to the skies in the iconic Royal Atreides Ornithopter, a high-performance aircraft featured in the Dune universe.

The expansion offers a tutorial for beginners, as well as time trials and rescue missions for more experienced players. According to a report from Gamereactor.cn, the Royal Atreides Ornithopter is described as a “special ultra-high-performance variant of the aircraft known for its lightning-fast acceleration, blazing speed, and precise maneuverability.”

Once players have mastered the basics, they can take on the package’s six activities, including five trials and a daring rescue mission where pilots must save their flight instructor before a massive sandstorm engulfs him. The expansion is available for free to all Microsoft Flight Simulator owners, as well as Game Pass subscribers.

The timing of the release is no coincidence, as Dune: Part 2 is set to premiere on February 28. Fans of the Dune universe can get a taste of the iconic planet Arrakis before the movie hits theaters.

For fans of Microsoft Flight Simulator, this expansion offers a new and exciting experience outside of Earth’s atmosphere. With breathtaking scenery and a thrilling new vehicle to pilot, the Dune-themed expansion is sure to be a hit among players.
