ClimateTech specialist Volt Storage goes with Saudi Arabia: The German greentech startup Volt Storage has agreed on a cooperation with the Saudi energy company ACWA Power to use its iron-salt batteries in seawater desalination projects in the Middle East and Asia.
These batteries, which do not contain lithium or cobalt, offer an environmentally friendly and more cost-effective alternative to traditional lithium-ion batteries. Volt Storage initially plans to build a test facility to test the technology under extreme climatic conditions.
