Rumors About iPhone 16 Design Changes and Upgrades Surface

Just a few months after the launch of the iPhone 15, rumors and leaks about the iPhone 16 have already started making their way through the tech world. Majin Bu, a well-known whistleblower, recently shared a design drawing of what is believed to be the iPhone 16, showing upgraded features in both the lens and body of the device.

One of the most notable changes in the design of the suspected iPhone 16 is the return to a vertical dual-lens design, similar to that of the iPhone X. This new design features the two lenses arranged vertically, with the flash placed independently on the right side of the lens assembly, creating a more streamlined pea-shaped unit. The change in the lens design is rumored to be in order to support spatial image shooting, a feature not currently available in the iPhone 15. This move is seen as an effort by Apple to expand the capabilities of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus beyond the Pro series phones.

In addition to the changes in the lens design, the iPhone 16 is also rumored to feature an upgrade in the form of a new action button to replace the mute button, extending the functions of the iPhone 15 Pro series to the entire iPhone 16 series. This will provide users with the ability to perform multiple customized operations with the new action button.

Furthermore, leaked renderings of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max suggest that both models will feature a “photograph button” below the power button on the same side, allowing for gesture operations for taking pictures, such as swiping to zoom in and out, tap to focus, and hard press to start taking pictures or record video. It is also rumored that the iPhone 16 Pro will be available in a 2TB version, supporting the Apple ProRes format for shooting high-definition videos, as well as larger screens, both increasing to 6.3″ and 6.9″.

As with any leaked information, it’s important to take these rumors with a grain of salt until official announcements are made by Apple. However, if these leaks are accurate, the iPhone 16 lineup could bring significant changes and upgrades to Apple’s flagship smartphone series.
