Rainbow Six: Siege Unveils Operation Deadly Omen at Six Invitational 2024

As the Six Invitational 2024 wrapped up over the weekend, Ubisoft took the opportunity to showcase what lies ahead for Rainbow Six: Siege in Year 9 with the upcoming operation, Deadly Omen.

The highlight of this new season is the introduction of a new attacker, Deimos, who is also a central figure in the game’s narrative. Deimos comes equipped with a DeathMark gadget that allows him to track defenders’ positions and a Vendetta revolver with a scope for long-range attacks.

Ubisoft describes Deimos as a 2-hp, 2-speed operator armed with an AK-74M assault rifle, M590A1 shotgun, and the unique .44 Vendetta revolver. His kit includes frag grenades or hard breach explosives to aid in achieving objectives.

Operation Deadly Omen will also bring changes for shield-wielding operators, allowing them to dash through barricades with their shields and making various adjustments to gameplay mechanics such as aiming down sights, rappel animations, and LMG recoil.

With these exciting additions and tweaks, Year 9 promises to deliver new challenges and strategies for Rainbow Six: Siege players. Stay tuned for more updates and announcements as Operation Deadly Omen launches in the near future.
