Released today (26), at 9 am, the IBGE Agenda brings the Institute’s activities for this week. The edition made available includes disclosures, internal and external meetings, training and commitments from the Presidency, IBGE and Coordination boards, its State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE), between February 26th and 3rd. March 2024.

Since January 29th, IBGE has made the Institute’s Agenda available to the public every Monday, at 9am. Aiming to create a channel with the Executive, Judiciary and Legislative Powers, authorities and public managers, the IBGE Agenda is also a means of giving society access to IBGE’s work in Brazil and abroad.

This week, between February 26th and March 1st, the president of IBGE Marcio Pochmann, the director of Research, Elizabeth Hypolito, the representative of DGC, Claudio Stenner, and the representative of ENCE, Andrea Diniz, will participate in the 55th Session of the United Nations Statistical Commission and Parallel Events, in New York.

From February 26th to March 1st, at 8am, representatives from ENCE participate in the course “Literacy in Futures and Social Prospective, with professor Felipe Koch”, at the Colégio Brasileiro de Altos Estudos at UFRJ. At 4pm, representatives from the Geosciences Directorate (DGC) will participate in a meeting together with representatives from IPEA, to prepare the Voluntary National Report (RNV) on the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda (SDG). And, on the same day, at 5pm, the IBGE State Superintendence in Amapá (SES/AP) meets with the State Secretary for Education to discuss the National School Health Survey – PeNSE.

The Executive Board (DE) team meets with the Unified National Public Tender Committee on February 27th at 9am. On the same day and time, the Maranhão State Superintendence (SES/MA) makes a presentation of the IBGE research and offers a mini workshop on the use of SIDRA, aimed at the technical staff of the SEBRAE/MA Business Unit Management, at Multi Center Sebrae (São Luís).

Also on the 27th, starting at 8:30 am, the State Superintendency of Rio Grande do Sul (SES/RS) participates in the 11th official Opening of the RS Corn Harvest, in the municipality of Santa Vitória do Palmar (RS). At 9 am, members of the Mato Grosso State Superintendence (SES/MT) and the Federal University of Mato Grosso, participate in the lecture on Geographic Coordinates of Addresses, in the SES/MT Auditorium. At 2pm, the State Superintendence of Ceará (SES/CE) participates in a lecture, on SBT, with the theme focused on Updating Favelas and Urban Communities in Caucaia.

Representatives of the Executive Board (DE) participate in the IBGE National Human Resources Meeting, on February 28th, at 10 am. The team from the Information Documentation and Dissemination Center/Social Communication Coordination (CDDI/CCS) participates, at 10:30 am, in the GERI meeting with SES/PE and the Ricardo Brennand Institute, about the launch of the publication Brasil em Numbers.

Also on the 28th, at the Espírito Santo State Superintendency (SES/ES) there will be a meeting at 1pm between the Vila Pavão Systematic Survey of Agricultural Production (LSPA) team and the Capixaba Institute of Research, Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (Incaper) to articulate the development of research. The meeting will be held at the local office of the Capixaba Institute for Research, Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (Incaper). On the same day, at 3 pm, members of the Geosciences Directorate (DGC) participate in the National Seminar on Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing of the Semi-Arid Environment, in Recife/PE.

Among the week’s activities, on March 1st, the Research Directorate (DPE) team participates, at 8 am, in the meeting on “Gender Statistics: Social indicators of women in Brazil 3rd edition”. And, at 9 am, the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) promotes a seminar and launch of the PDDE Assessment Book at the FNDE, in Brasília.
