RIOT Games, the renowned developer behind popular titles such as League of Legends, has released exciting news about their upcoming 2 v 2 fighting game Project L. In a recent announcement, RIOT revealed that the game has been officially renamed “2XKO” and further details will be unveiled at EVO Japan in April 2024.

The concept of 2XKO is unique as it allows players to team up with others, control two characters within the same team, and seamlessly switch between them during battles. This innovative gameplay mechanic sets 2XKO apart from traditional team fighting games and has generated significant buzz within the gaming community.

In preparation for the official launch in 2025, RIOT plans to conduct game testing sessions worldwide, with the first trial session scheduled to take place at EVO Japan. Players will have the opportunity to provide feedback and help shape the final version of 2XKO before its release on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms.

Interested players can now sign up for the 2XKO game test on the official website, where four characters have been revealed so far: “Ari”, “Ike”, “Yusu”, and “Darris”. Each character brings their unique abilities to the table, drawing inspiration from their counterparts in League of Legends. For example, Ike has the ability to create time clones, while Ali uses her ball in combat, and Iluo Yi wields her antenna.

For those eager to learn more about 2XKO’s plans for 2024, a video showcasing the game’s features can be viewed on the official website. With the anticipation building up for the game’s release, fans of fighting games and RIOT Games’ creations are eagerly looking forward to experiencing the adrenaline-pumping action of 2XKO.
