Sony Unveils New ULT POWER SOUND Series with Strong Bass Performance
Sony has officially launched its new ULT POWER SOUND audio series, focusing on delivering heavy bass sound performance. The series, which replaces the well-known “MEGA BASS” function with the new “ULT POWER SOUND” label, includes a new headset and two Bluetooth speakers.
The ULT Power Sound brand is pronounced similar to “OUT” and aims to signify a focus on strong bass effects in its products. The ULT series released in Hong Kong comprises the “ULT WEAR” wireless headphones and “ULT FIELD” wireless speakers.
The ULT WEAR headphones feature a 40mm driver unit and a built-in V1 integrated processor to provide impactful sound effects. They also come with an “ULT” button for switching between two subwoofer modes – ULT 1 for deep low-frequency bass and ULT 2 for even more powerful bass. Users can adjust the bass volume through a mobile app and fine-tune the modes according to their preferences.
Additionally, the ULT WEAR headphones support active noise reduction and wind noise reduction, offering a maximum playback time of 50 hours. They also feature fast charging capabilities and support features like DSEE for sound quality enhancement and head tracking for an immersive experience.
The ULT FIELD 1 Bluetooth speaker is lightweight and portable, supporting IP67 dust-proof and water-resistant standards. It features an ULT button for switching between modes and comes in four color options. The ULT FIELD 7 speaker, on the other hand, is larger in size and delivers deep bass performance, with a maximum playback time of 30 hours.
Both ULT FIELD speakers support dual-machine connection for stereo playback and can be connected with up to 100 Sony wireless speakers in Party Mode. The prices for ULT FIELD 1 and ULT FIELD 7 are yet to be determined, with an expected release date in July 2024.
