KolbasinoGames Launches “Egg” Game on Steam for Free

Last year, a global egg shortage caused prices to soar and eggs to become precious commodities. In response to this, the independent game team KolbasinoGames has launched “Egg” for free on Steam, and it has quickly gained popularity.

Within three days of its release, “Egg” attracted overwhelming praise from more than 500 players. The game claims to be an interactive point-and-click game, providing interfaces, subtitles, and voices in 103 languages, including Traditional Chinese.

When players open the game, a pink-orange egg appears in the center of the screen. Clicking on the egg will cause it to fall and float up again when the button is released, recording the efforts of the player’s fingers. The game’s objective is to click on the egg to get more eggs, although the actual intention behind this feature is unknown.

Despite its simple gameplay, “Egg” has a built-in Steam achievement that can be achieved by clicking more than 10 million times. However, if a player clicks a million times in a row, the counter will return to zero and congratulate the player for reaching the goal, which will no longer be displayed.

The game is suitable for all PC hardware specifications, but the official recommendation is for the system to be equipped with Windows 11, Intel Core i9-12900K, 64 GB memory, and GeForce RTX 4060. It can be used on most 3A masterpieces with full HD special effects, but players have not experienced any significant difference in the gameplay while using it for this purpose.

Many have described “Egg” as a weird game, as it differs from other similar games on Steam that require players to keep the screen still or turn into stone. Despite its simple graphics and lack of change in appearance, the philosophy behind “Egg” is to trigger the “leap of life” with a simple movement of one finger.

Overall, “Egg” has garnered attention for its unique concept and simple yet engaging gameplay. Whether players are looking for a brief distraction or a meditative experience, “Egg” offers a unique and interactive gaming experience.
