The New Academy of Fine Arts (NABA) presents “LEAP“, an exhibition that takes the form of a real playground for exploring the intersections between digital and analog. The event will be held from 4 to 7 April at the Steam Factory of Milan and will feature the projects of the students of Two-year specialist course in Creative Media Production.

The “PLAI” exhibition presents itself as a dynamic laboratory of experimentation, where students have the opportunity to show their work. A mix of bodily practices and innovative technologies. This event also anticipates the launch of the new one Two-year specialist course in Digital and Live Performance of NABA.
The opening of “PLAI” will be held on April 4 at 5.30pm and will come alive at 7.30pm with “Codex Naturae”, a live set edited by the NABA teacher Giorgio Sancristoforo. This multimedia performance is based on a system that translates and sounds the nucleotide sequences of DNA, creating an experience that blends science and art.
The exhibition offers aunmissable opportunity to explore the cutting edge of digital artistic production and to imagine new exhibition forms. Among the various works on display, the multimedia installation created in collaboration with stands out Careof, a nonprofit contemporary art organization. This project represents a dialogue between different generations and the use of technologies such as generative artificial intelligence and special effects.
Furthermore, “PLAI” also extends to the online world with a immersive catalog edited by the student Yue Zhaoaccessible via the platform New Art City.
