Square Enix Releases New DLC “Crying in the Sea” for Final Fantasy XVI

Yesterday, on the 17th, Square Enix dropped the latest DLC for Final Fantasy XVI, titled “Crying in the Sea”. This highly anticipated expansion pack features new summoned beast Leviathan, as well as new missions and adventures on fresh maps for players to explore.

The “Crying in the Sea” DLC is expected to be the final installment for Final Fantasy XVI, offering players challenging battle scenes and encounters with new summoned monsters. Director Hiroshi Takai mentioned that the combat team has worked to balance the difficulty of the game, aiming to provide a more moderate gameplay experience. Takai stated, “The combat team is worried that the difficulty is a bit too easy”, hinting at a more challenging combat experience in this DLC.

In addition to the new content, “Crying in the Sea” also raises the level limit for characters, offering players the opportunity to further enhance their abilities. New commissioned tasks and maps have been added to ensure that players can continue their journey in Final Fantasy XVI.

Players who have purchased the season pass will need to manually download the DLC to access the new content. Make sure to download “Crying in the Sea” to dive into the next chapter of this epic adventure.
