Maverick Vinales be the fastest in the qualifying session American MotoGP 2024 at Circuits Of The Americas, Austin, Texas, Saturday (13/4) evening.
The qualifying session begins with Q1 which lasts 15 minutes. The top two racers in this session, Miguel Oliveira and Alex Marquez, are entitled to participate in Q2.
Jorge Martin opened the Q2 qualifying drama when he fell at the 11th corner. Martin was able to immediately get up and race the Desmosedici GP24 motorbike again.

Not long after Martin fell, Maverick Vinales posted the fastest time of 2 minutes 01.234 seconds.
Within approximately two minutes Martin fell. Martin experienced his second crash in qualifying this time when he was about to pass turn 18. There appeared to be no significant injuries because the Spanish racer was able to get up immediately, but the motorbike he was using could no longer be driven so Martin had to go to the garage.
Martin was lucky because he was able to return to the qualifying session for the last five minutes when the other racers also started pushing their motorbikes as fast as possible.
Another racer who also had an accident was Marco Bezzecchi. The Pertamina Enduro VR46 team racer did not suffer serious injuries.
Vinales then sharpened his time record to 2 minutes 0.864 seconds.
The rookie Pedro Acosta was in second place with a time 0.328 seconds slower than Vinales.
Marc Marquez, who previously recorded the second fastest time, was replaced by Acosta. The Gresini Racing racer then tried to maximize the remaining time available to ride the Desmosedici GP23 motorbike at full speed.
Marquez’s efforts could not displace Acosta. Marquez is in third place and will remain in the front row with Vinales and Acosta.
