The 2024 General Election (Pemilu) jingle entitled ‘Choosing for Indonesia’ has been released by the General Election Commission (KPU). Through this jingle, the KPU invites the Indonesian people to exercise their voting rights in the upcoming February 14 2024 elections.
The 2024 Election Jingle was written by Kikan Namara and performed by the Cokelat Band, which is known for its patriotic songs. The lyrics written in the 2024 Election Jingle contain an invitation to contribute to determining Indonesia’s future by voting.
The 2024 Election Jingle has been released since December 2 2022. Therefore, for some people the lyrics of this jingle are no longer foreign.

2024 Election Mascot
According to the official website of the Indonesian KPU, the 2024 Election Jingle was released along with the mascots named SURA and SULU. SURA is an abbreviation of People’s Vote, while SULU is Election Vote.
This mascot is a pair of Balinese starlings where SURA is the male bird and SULU is the female bird. The Bali starling was chosen as the mascot because this animal is known to symbolize the voters’ vote.
Both mascots were designed with “young” facial expressions. This was done to represent the 2024 voters who are dominated by the younger generation.
The mascot will be a symbol of the 2024 Simultaneous Elections on February 14. As the embodiment of the voice of the Indonesian people.
