Afghanistan, winners and losers. The new Great Game for the heart of Kabul

The Afghan territory – not the state of Afghanistan, a mirage perhaps induced by the local abundance of opiates – has been measuring the temperature of the great or miserable games that the powers play in the impervious heart of Asia for a couple of centuries. Were it the Tsarist and British empires, the day before yesterday, or be it the American and Chinese empires, with the special participation of what remains of the Russian, today and certainly tomorrow.
