Alejandro Osorio is the new national road champion! The 25-year-old cyclist from Antioquia won the elite event in the city of Tunja. The race had a route of 144.8 kilometers, which was made up of eight laps of the circuit in the capital of Boyacá, which ended in the Plaza de Bolívar.

The two World Tour riders lost more than a minute in the last lap, however, they managed to pull back, overtook the riders and made it 2-3.

For his part, Nairo Quintana was always behind the first places and lost more than five minutes with the winner of the day.

Who is Alejandro Osorio?

Alejandro Osorio Carvajal was born on May 28, 1998 in the municipality of El Carmen de Viboral in the department of Antioquia and is the brother of fellow cyclist Frank Osorio.
