Junior de Barranquilla won this Sunday against Alianza FC by the minimum at the Armando Maestre Pavajeau stadium in Valledupar, which was full of fans of the ‘Tiburón’ team. The only goal was from Carlos Bacca that gave the rojiblancos the lead in Liga Betplay I.

In the first half, Yimmi Chará would have the first important chance of the game. Junior’s attacker went at speed and from mid-distance hit the ball against the crossbar of Alianza’s goal.

At 15′, the first of Valledupar’s team arrived. Jesús Figueroa would put a great ball to Andrés Rentería who tried with a right hand that barely went over Santiago Mele’s goal.

About half an hour into the game, Chará managed Junior’s attack and there he found Carlos Bacca who found a shot that barely passed close to the corner. A few moments later, Junior’s ’70’ received from Homer Martínez and there he took a shot that went well wide.

Ten minutes later, Alianza came close again with Leonardo Saldaña who attempted a shot from the left that closed in and barely touched the post of the rojiblancos’ goal.

For the second half, Alianza had another chance with Mayer Gil who received from Emerson Batalla and took a great shot with danger, but everything was invalidated due to offside.

Alianza continued with its offensive and would have one of its clearest chances with Rentería who, after an error at the start of the visit, almost opened the scoring with a shot that barely touched the corner of the rival goal.

In the 72nd minute, Junior finally opened the scoring in Valledupar thanks to a penalty caused by José Enamorado and successfully taken by Carlos Bacca who completely fooled goalkeeper Carlos Mosquera.

The local team would have another chance to equalize with Rentería, who received it in the area and took a powerful shot that, mixed with the arrival of Rafa Pérez, made it go far above.

Before the end of the match, Alianza would have another opportunity to find the tie with Figueroa with a hard shot that Mele saved in a great way to close the curtain in Valledupar.

With the victory, Junior is the leader with 10 units and in the next game they will face Deportivo Pasto while Alianza still does not win and is 17th with two units. The vallenatos will play the next date against Envigado.
