The three companies of Deutsche Confiserie Holding are once again experiencing financial difficulties. They had to file for bankruptcy as early as 2021. The future for the employees is unclear.

The confectionery, coffee and tea companies Hussel, Arko and Eilles have filed for bankruptcy, as was published on Friday in the official insolvency portal “Insolvency Notices” by the Norderstedt District Court. All three companies belong to Deutsche Confiserie Holding, which has its headquarters in Wahlstedt (Segeberg district). There are around 300 branches across Germany.

There were already problems in 2021

The three companies had already had to file for bankruptcy in 2021 as a result of the corona pandemic. The renovation was successful after nine months. Now the future is once again uncertain for the 1,200 employees, according to a report by Wirtschaftswoche. However, your wages and salaries are initially secured for three months via the insolvency benefit.
