US actor and comedian Joe Flaherty has died. He starred in, among other things, “Back to the Future II” and the series “Police Academy”. Adam Sandler described him on Instagram as “a genius of a comedian.”

The US actor and Comedian Joe Flaherty is dead. He died on Monday at the age of 82 after a short illness, his daughter confirmed to the industry publication “Variety” and other media on Tuesday (local time).

Flaherty has also been in films like “Back to the Future II” and “Happy Gilmore” or the series “Police Academy” to see.

The Pittsburgh-born artist began his career in the theater group “The Second City” in Chicago. He became famous with the Canadian comedy series “Second City Television” (SCTV), which ran between 1976 and 1984 and won two Emmys.
