On Tuesday morning, a BTV branch on Mitterweg in Innsbruck was attacked. According to the police the suspected perpetrator is on the run – he is apparently armed.

The male perpetrator fled on foot. An investigation is being carried out in the bank and in the surrounding area.

The banking institution is located in the west of the city on Mitterweg. The police set up roadblocks. A police helicopter was also used.

The suspect was described as 1.70 meters tall and between 25 and 40 years old. He was wearing light-colored trousers and dark outerwear with light stripes at chest level. He also had a hood on and gloves on. His shoes were black with white soles and he also had a black shoulder bag with him.
