Believer died while doing a 50-day spiritual fast in Henri Pittier Park

A 62-year-old man has been found dead in Henri Pittier National Park after attempting to fast for over 50 days, according to reports from local newspaper The Century and Instagram. The man, identified as Félix María Flores Seijas, had reportedly undertaken similar fasting activities in the past, but this time he aimed to extend his fast from 40 to 50 days. Despite regular check-ins from his family, Flores was found lifeless on February 14th, after indicating that he wanted to remain in the park for an additional five days. The Diego Ibarra Fire Department recovered his body after a nine-hour operation, highlighting the treacherous terrain of the area where he had chosen to undertake his fast.
