Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Billionaire and LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault became the richest person in the world, and replaced Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Friday, January 26 2024.

Bernard Arnault’s wealth increased by around USD 23.6 billion or around Rp. 373.31 trillion.

This increase in wealth led Bernard Arnault to replace Tesla CEO Elon Musk as the richest person in the world. Elon Musk is now in second place with a wealth of around USD 204.5 billion or around IDR 3,234 trillion.

Bernard Arnault’s parent company Agache backs a venture capital firm called Aglae Ventures which according to a Forbes report invests in Netflix and Bytedance, TikTok’s parent company.

Bernard Arnault has five children who all work at LVMH. He recently appointed two of his sons to the LVMH board along with two other children who are already board members. This is an effort to secure family control in the long term.

Citing various sources, Bernard Arnault will replace Elon Musk as the richest person in the world for the first time in 2022. He will become CEO of the world‘s largest luxury goods manufacturer, LVMH, which owns a number of brands, including Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Christian Dior, Celine.
