Juventus made a big profit in the semifinals Italian Cup. Juve managed to beat Lazio with a score of 2-0 in the first leg match.

From Juventus vs Lazio took place at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday (3/4/2024) early morning WIB. The Bianconeri’s victory was determined by goals from Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic in the second half.

The semi-final second leg will be held at Lazio headquarters in three weeks. To qualify for the final, Juve only needs a minimum result of a draw or loss as long as there is no more than one goal. Meanwhile, Lazio must win with a difference of three goals.

Juventus dominated the game in the early minutes. The referee then pointed to the spot after Dusan Vlahovic was fouled by Matias Vecino. However, after checking via VAR, the penalty award was canceled because it was offside first.

Lazio can finally get out of the pressure from Juventus. Patric’s cross from the right was met by Luis Alberto with a header. Mattia Perin thought the ball was out, but the ball rolled onto the crossbar.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 50th minute. Federico Chiesa opened the scoring to give Juventus a 1-0 lead over Lazio.

The goal was born thanks to Andrea Cambiaso’s brilliant pass. Cambiaso’s long ball from behind split the Lazio defense before being controlled by Chiesa. From inside the penalty box, Chiesa finished with a right foot shot towards the far post.

Just 14 minutes later, Juventus’ lead remained 2-0. It was Vlahovic’s turn to etch his name on the scoreboard.

Adrien Rabiot’s collaboration with Weston McKennie ended with a through ball to Vlahovic on the right side. Vlahovic outwitted Nicolo Casale before firing a low left-footed shot into the bottom corner of Lazio’s goal.

Juventus almost increased the score. Chiesa continued Mattia Perin’s long pass near the touchline, then dribbled the ball into the Lazio penalty box. Casale made a crucial tackle resulting in a corner kick.

From that set-piece, Juve threatened Lazio’s goal again. Federico Gatti’s header went narrowly wide. In injury time, Juventus missed a good opportunity after Yildiz’s crossing was left rolling in front of the opponent’s goal.
