Everything is the same in Medellín. This Tuesday, Red Bull Bragantino debuted in Libertadores 2024 and drew with Águilas Doradas (COL), away from home. In the second preliminary phase, Pedro Caixinha’s team played a balanced game against the Colombians, but the teams drew 0-0 at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium.
Therefore, with the result, everything is open for the return, which will take place next Tuesday, in São Paulo. With a draw, a new equality in the second leg will lead to a penalty shootout, regardless of the number of goals. After all, the away goal criterion is no longer used. Whoever advances will face the winner of the clash between Botafogo and Aurora (BOL).

First time
The opening 45 minutes were balanced, but without many emotions. Bragantino had more possession of the ball, created danger with Helinho and Vitinho, but failed to find the net. In total, there were four shots for each side, but the Colombians didn’t scare goalkeeper Cleiton that much. The home team tried to surprise with some counterattacks, as they had less possession of the ball, but did not offer much resistance.
Second time
The final stage was also balanced, with at least one clear chance for each side. On the Colombian side, Salazar took a free kick in the 21st minute, but goalkeeper Cleiton made a good save. In the Brazilian team, however, a bizarre move did not go unnoticed. After a corner kick from the left and a deflection at the first post, Laquintana was left free at the second post. With the goal open, however, inside the small area, the number 33 hit the ball wrong and was unable to score. In the end, Bragantino even tried to score more, but were unable to find the net.
