Presidency of the Republic reported that lawyer Cielo Rusinque Urrego is the new superintendent of Industry and Commerce, replacing María del Socorro Pimienta, who was declared insubsistent.
The new superintendent is a lawyer from the Externado University of Colombia and a master’s degree in Constitutional Law and Research in Political Studies from the University of Paris II (France). In addition, she was a scholarship holder and graduate of the International Academy of Constitutional Law of Tunisia. Currently, she is a candidate for a doctorate in Constitutional Law. Rusinque was director of the Administrative Department of Social Prosperity (DPS), from which she left to hire Laura Sarabia. Likewise, she served as an external relations advisor for the presidential and vice-presidential campaigns of the Historical Pact and worked as a judicial secretary in the Attorney General’s Office.
In academic aspects he has worked as a professor at the Externado de Colombia University.
Finally, the Presidency thanked all the people who participated in the public call for the position and all the citizens who submitted observations.
